City of Griffin

The last weekend in April is the Great Griffin Mayfling, a two-day festival that takes place at Griffin City Park. Also, the Taste of Downtown, a celebration of live entertainment and culinary delights, is held annually in Griffin.

According to 2000 Census, the City of Griffin had a population of 23,451 persons. Between 1990 and 2000, the city experienced a population increase of 10.0%, compared to the state growth during this period of 26.4%.
